We Are Excited to Offer Horse & Goat Yoga Programming!

This program provides a gentle and accessible introduction to the world of yoga for both you and a four-legged companion.

Our sessions will help you establish a solid foundation and build confidence in your practice wether you are already experienced or a beginner.

Below is a description of what you can expect in our Horse Yoga program:

Introduction and Safety:

We start each session with an introduction to the basics of horse yoga and the necessary safety guidelines. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the proper techniques and precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both you and the horse.

Gentle Equine Poses:

Our beginner horse yoga program introduces simple and gentle yoga poses that are suitable for both you and the horse. These poses are modified to accommodate beginners and take into consideration the horse’s comfort and range of motion. You’ll learn how to move into poses with your horse like “Forward Fold” (stretching the neck and back) and the “Standing Stretch” (lengthening the legs).

Mindful Connection:

Building a connection with your horse is essential in horse yoga. We’ll teach you techniques to approach and interact with your horse in a calm and mindful manner. Developing a bond of trust and understanding is key to creating a positive and harmonious yoga experience.

Breath and Body Awareness:

Throughout the session, we emphasize the importance of breath and body awareness. You’ll learn how to synchronize your breath with the movements of your horse and how to cultivate a mindful connection between your body and your horse’s movements. This focus on breath and body awareness promotes relaxation and harmony between you and your equine partner.

Groundwork and Warm-up:

Before moving into yoga poses, we focus on groundwork exercises and warm-up activities alongside  the horses. These exercises help prepare our body for movement and relaxation. You’ll learn basic techniques such as leading, lunging, and gentle stretches to establish a foundation of trust and relaxation.

Relaxation and Cool-down:

Towards the end of each session, we guide you and your horse through relaxation techniques and a gentle cool-down routine. This time allows you and your horse to rest, rejuvenate, and integrate the benefits of the practice. It’s a peaceful way to conclude your yoga session and leave your horse feeling relaxed and content.
